After losing the manual I had in my tool chest for 27 years I was happy to have found one on Ebay at half the price others were asking.
Flipping through the book at my desk was tolerable but actually using it in the garage was a challenge.

The manual was getting worse each time I opened it.

I ordered a laminator and a couple hundred laminator pouches at 10pm. There was a package at the door by the time I woke the next day.
I laminated while watching Clint Eastwood’s 1992 Unforgiven (2:10) and the unsurprisingly bad “Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman” from 1989 (1:36). Then I ordered a 4″ binder, a 3 hole punch, and more pouches for the 4Runner manual. Everything should be here before I wake.
Update(8/23/22): The hole punch didn’t have an adjustable paper guide so I had to order yet another . The correct punch arrived today at 1pm. It was the right tool for the job.
Update(9/3/22): This is working out great but that sumbitch is heavy! It weighs in at 10.2 pounds.
Update(09/21/22): As expected, I found the original service manual. I laminated the hell out of that one, too.

I also picked up a knockoff copy of the parts manual.
You guessed it; laminated.

The 1984-1985 manual is quite a bit lighter than the 1984-1987.
